The Idea Company

MVDC: Resolute about Responsibility
Responsibility: the state of being accountable or
answerable.
At Merrimack Valley Distributing Company we hold ourselves to a high
standard when it comes to the products we sell and the brands we
represent. As far back as 1978, before it became an industry
initiative, our father Herbert was running an ad campaign against
teenage drinking.
Today we are actively involved with Responsible Drinking Initiatives
supported by our major supplier Miller/Coors and have helped
introduced these measures into our local school community. We also
are involved with and contribute to a number of other local programs
associated with drug and alcohol abuse including Danvers Community
That Cares, Danvers High School Project Graduation, Danvers Police
D.A.R.E., the Yellow Dress Program and Danvers S.A.D.D. Program.
As we have done for over 35 years, we continue to self-regulate our
promotional and marketing department to encourage responsible
consumption behavior in all our events and strictly adhere to the
prevention of underage drinking.
As ambassadors of our products, all our promotional employees are
T.I.P.S. (Training in Intervention Procedures) certified and our
policies regarding the responsible use of alcoholic beverages are
well spelled out. In addition, we also provide facilities and
resources for our on premise customers to conduct their own T.I.P.S.
training.
